West Star Aviation receives approval to install Winglet parts on Cessna Sovereign

MRO provider West Star Aviation has announced it has been approved to install transitional winglets by Winglet Technologies on the Cessna Sovereign.

The approval is in place for the provider’s Grand Junction, Colorado facility, which is one of four full-service Textron-approved service centres run by the company.

“We are dedicated to building on specialized capabilities for the Citation airframe, and this addition enhances the wide array of services available for the convenience and satisfaction of our Sovereign customers,” said Dave Krogman, the location’s general manager.

West Star is also planning to its flagship facility in East Alton, Illinois to the list of centres authorised to install Winglet Technologies Sovereign winglets.

The MRO company has also appointed a new technical sales manager at its Chattanooga, Tennessee service centre, promoting Larry Marler from project manager.

The Chattanooga centre also has open houses scheduled at the Lovell Field facility for August 2 and 16, as it looks to expand its staff to fill positions including A&P and avionics technicians, aircraft painters, and quality inspectors.
