Valcora launches new wildlife conservation initiative at EBACE 2019

The Geneva-based fuel system supplier Valcora announced a new initiative at EBACE to support conservation projects worldwide, as part of its drive towards a carbon neutral future.

The project aims to lend support to carefully smaller conservation projects around the globe, including two rhinoceros’ orphanages in South Africa, as well as protection for the critically endangered Pangolin eyed for the future.

“We wanted to draw attention to reforestation as it makes a big contribution towards a carbon neutral world. It not only helps the planet breathe; it provides essential habitat for endangered species. With this in mind we decided it was our duty to get involved, which is why we’re adding the conservation portfolio to our environmental offering,” said Valcora CEO Daniel Coetzer.

“EBACE is the perfect place for us to make people and companies conscious of the ways in which we can preserve the planet for future generations. Every single delegate can actually make a difference through simple gestures.”

This is not the first green project from the company – their “Be Smart, Fly Bio” initiative encourages operators to use biojet fuel wherever available at selected airports using the Valcora online platform.

The new conservation initiative gives customers the option when uplifting fuel using the Valcora system to make an additional donation to one of the selected conservation projects. This is in addition to Valcora’s carbon offsetting option already in their system.
