The ACA postpones Air Charter Expo until ‘momentous’ 2021 event

The Air Charter Association (The ACA) and Business Air News are postponing the annual Air Charter Expo (ACE), slated for September 2020, due to ongoing concerns around Covid-19, but promise a momentous event when ACE returns to London Biggin Hill Airport on 14th September 2021.

ACE, held in partnership with the airport and Business Air News magazine, has proven a smash hit with air charter professionals and continues to grow apace, with record-breaking attendance each year. In 2019, 1,100 brokers, operators and aviation professionals joined 70 exhibitors and toured more than 20 aircraft on display, with leading OEMs Gulfstream, Textron Aviation, Bombardier and Dassault in attendance.

Kevin Ducksbury, chairman, The Air Charter Association, says: “While we’re disappointed to postpone this year’s ACE, our partners, colleagues and friends are already gearing up for a truly exceptional event in 2021. Facing Covid-19 has only proven how agile and innovative our industry can be, and I’m immensely proud of how charter brokers and operators across the spectrum have pivoted their operations to support relief efforts. In preparation for the second half of this uniquely challenging year, we’re reminding our members to call on The ACA for support wherever it’s needed, as we look forward to reuniting in 2021.”

Andy Patsalides, head of marketing, London Biggin Hill Airport, adds: “We are very much looking forward to hosting ACE next year, the fifth to be held at the airport. Meanwhile, we continue to support the charter broker and operator community as they regroup following Covid-19 and beyond.”

David Wright, Business Air News, concludes: “Our team is already working with exhibitors and sponsors to put together an expanded show next year, and we are looking forward to a landmark event in 2021.”
