Strong Response to Tamarack Active Winglet Free Installation

According to Tamarack Aerospace President Jacob Klinginsmith, three new customers have signed up for the free installation usually priced at $42-thousand, and more than two dozen other prospective Cessna CJ jet customers have strong interest and made contact with the company. Tamarack has installed more than one-hundred Active Winglets in CJ’s.

The free installation offer was made earlier in April in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The action allows customers to realize significant savings on installations booked through June 30, ensuring that employees and Tamarack’s supply chain remain strong and promoting the use of the sustainable Active Winglet technology. Active Winglets realize up to a 33% fuel saving in CJ’s and other business jets and double the fuel savings or more in larger commercial or military-use airframes.

During this time of business interruption by the pandemic, Tamarack says the free installation is its contribution to help kick-start the aviation industry back to full speed when that is possible.

Fastener distributor QFC Industries, Inc. President and pilot, Clay Roark decided to take advantage of the free Active Winglet installation offer so he could get more performance from his beloved CJ1. Many of Clay’s customers provide essential services and are busy during this COVID-19 virus crisis. It’s vital that he still works with them from his Arlington, TX base of operations. He makes regular trips to customers and to his eight business office/warehouses. Roark says the free Active Winglet installation was an offer that was just too good to pass up as an investment, especially since the Active Winglets actually increased the value of his aircraft.

“I’ll get to 41-thousand feet more than 30% faster and realize significant fuel savings up there, along with more stable flight in the thinner air, allowing me much longer non-stop flights with the Active Winglets. I intend to keep the aircraft for quite a while and this was a great time to have these [Active Winglets] put on”, says Roark.

His business supports sustainable manufacturing and the Active Winglets on his CJ1 will mean a continuity of the commitment to sustainability from his operation on the ground to his 41-thousand foot cruise altitude above the clouds.
