SRC Aviation first company outside North America to earn IS-BAH 3

Indian aviation services firm SRC Aviation has become the only company outside North America to achieve the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handlers (IS-BAH) 3.

The Delhi-based company was also the first in the world to be awarded the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handlers (IS-BAH) 1 and among the first for IS-BAH 2.

The IS-BAH is a set of global industry best practices for ground handlers in the business aviation industry, following the structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) Program and incorporating the NATA Safety 1st Ground Audit Program.

“This also works like a self-check and keeps us from being complacent about delivering quality,” said SRC founder Bobby Chadha to AINonline.

The IS-BAH 3 registration was handed to SRC only after a comprehensive audit of its practices in safety management, its emergency procedures, security and operating systems and its training processes.

The IS-BAH programme features a safety management system (SMS) at its core, with requirements set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

American Aero Fort Worth, Texas, an FBO at Meacham International Airport became the first FBO in the world to earn the new stage 3 certificate of registration, back in October 2018.
