Six killed in Mumbai as chartered aircraft crashes into heart of financial district

Six people have been killed as a chartered aircraft crashed into Mumbai’s busy financial district today.

Four people in the aircraft, including the pilot, and two nearby pedestrians were killed as the aircraft plunged into a multi-storey building under construction close to the financial district.

It was reported by local news that the plane crashed as the pilot attempted to land. The Press Trust of India stated that the Beechcraft King Air C90 crashed after taking off for a test flight.

Emergency services rushed to the scene but were unable to save anyone involved in the crash.
