Sea Prime with Milano Prime at NBAA-sdc: eco-friendly services to customers with bmw doubles at Milano Malpensa Prime

SEA Prime with the brand Milano Prime which, with the two airports of Milano Linate Prime and the future Milano Malpensa Prime, represents the excellence of business aviation in Milan, participates in NBAA-SDC 2018 (booth #1957) in Long Beach from 6 to 9 February. In this edition, SEA Prime introduces important news as a result of a constantly growing and changing business.

The major events in Milan, such as the Design Exhibition, the Fashion Week and the Grand Prix of Monza, as well as concerts and sport competitions, increasingly catalyse the traffic at the airport and confirm the new identity of Milan, with its prestigious hotels, shops and restaurants known all over the world, making it an inescapable destination for luxury and business tourism, the so-called “bleasure”.

Confirming this trend, Milano Linate Prime has recorded important growth in flights also during 2017 (+3% growth on a yearly basis) as a catalyser of traffic in Italy and one of the fastest growing airports on a European level.

Within this framework, the collaboration with BMW – well-known and innovative German automotive company historically manufacturing aircraft engines – has been strengthened. Following the BMW Business Centre, exclusive space equipped within the airport of Milano Linate Prime and decorated with colour nuances and textures reminding those of the new BMW 7 Series model, all BMW cars dedicated to the customers will be all plug-in hybrid from March 2018.

More “green” and environmentally friendly services, with BMW and Milano Prime offering new services with BMW 7 Series hybrid plug-in cars for passengers.

Dedicated charging stations for electric cars will also be made available to all the customers of the business aviation airports of Milano Prime.

Following the opening of the Leonardo line maintenance base in a dedicated hangar at Milano Linate Prime for AgustaWestland AW109 and AW139 helicopters in December 2017, Milano Prime is ready for a new challenge: the opening of Milano Malpensa Prime, the new FBO of the intercontinental airport of Malpensa at the beginning of 2019.

“Milan is increasingly becoming a compulsory stop on global itineraries in sectors such as design, fashion, innovation; with Milano Malpensa Prime, so close to numerous touristic spots in Lombardy and Switzerland, we will be offering another exclusive gateway to the city, Lombardy and the very heart of Europe,” said Chiara Dorigotti, General Manager of SEA Prime. The Milano Malpensa Prime project envisages a new facility of about 1,100 m2 for passengers and crews, a dedicated apron of about 10,000 m2 and a hangar of 5,000 m2, already operating, to accommodate latest generation general aviation aircraft. The new FBO has been designed as a “gem” set on the airport landscape, with a polyhedral volume that can be seen from any point of observation, from both land and air. The interiors feature precious finishing elements for common spaces and reserved lounges where passengers and crew shall enjoy a relaxed atmosphere thanks to refined design furniture. Dedicated security filters and check points complete this service.
