SATS Ltd., chief ground-handling and in-flight catering service provider at Singapore Changi Airport, has opened a Business Aviation Centre (BAC) at Seletar Airport in Singapore.
The BAC is designed to merge a personalised lounge experience with passenger services, such as baggage handling, security checks and immigration clearance.
“Private jet travellers are usually on a tight schedule and travel frequently,” said Bob Chi, Chairman of SATS Seletar Aviation Services Pte Ltd (SSAS), a joint venture company SATS formed with Jet Aviation and Universal Aviation.
“They will find the seamless, fuss-free, and personalized experience that cuts end-to-end travel time a great attraction,” he added.
“SATS hopes to support Changi Airport in their plan to grow Seletar Airport into a hub for business travelers and tourists travelling on private jet.”
The personalised experience means private jet travellers can enjoy fine-dining in the air, meals specially tailored to meet specific dietary needs, express laundry services and even a personal shopper.
The number of business aviation flights is currently projected to grow 3-5 percent year on year. Since its inception on November 19, 2018, SSAS has handled in excess of 4,000 flights, with 70 per cent of these attributed to business aviation.
