RUAG optimizes Bombardier Challenger CL300 96 month inspection with landing gear services and ADS-B

RUAG Aviation has expanded its capabilities with the inspection, maintenance and repair of Bombardier Challenger CL300 landing gear.

This service milestone for Bombardier Challenger aircraft was achieved during the aircraft’s scheduled 96-month inspection carried out at the RUAG Aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities in Munich, Germany.

Compliance ahead of the 2020 ADS-B Out mandates was also ensured. RUAG Aviation is a Bombardier Authorized Service Center.

“Detailed inspection and repair of landing gear is now another service we are able to offer our Bombardier Challenger customers,” confirms Ralf Ott, Senior Manager Sales & Customer Support, RUAG Aviation.

“We continue to add to our overall expertise in Bombardier business aircraft solutions,” he explains further. “Our customers are able to benefit from significant savings in time and costs when they optimize their aircraft’s downtime according to the RUAG one-stop shop approach.”

The Bombardier Challenger CL300’s 96-month heavy maintenance inspection visit included selected one-stop shop services in addition to landing gear repairs. The RUAG team fulfilled the avionics original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) Service Bulletins (SB), resulting in the integration of the requisite avionics upgrade package for compliance with the 2020 ADS-B mandate.

As well, the customer chose to refresh their livery with a full repainting of the exterior. Various Bombardier SBs were also fulfilled. All services were performed by the dedicated in-house shops at RUAG Aviation ensuring the aircraft was delivered to full customer satisfaction and according to schedule.

“Our performance as a service provider for Bombardier business aircraft, like this Challenger CL300, is confirmed at our Bombardier Center of Excellence on a daily basis.

Streamlined downtimes, overall savings and reliable consulting are the direct result of the thorough Bombardier expertise we have accumulated over the last 37 years,” states Volker Wallrodt, Senior Vice President Business Jets, Dornier 228 & Components, RUAG Aviation.
