Report: Texas GA airports generate over $9bn in statewide economic activity

A study by the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) has analysed the economic impact of general aviation airports in the US state and found that they contribute over $9bn in statewide economic activity.

TXDOT found that general aviation airports generate a sum of $9.3bn in total economic output while supporting 48,000 jobs with a payroll of $2.5bn.

The study found that the Texas aviation industry overall generates $94.3bn in total economic activity and supports 778,000 jobs in the US state. This combines commercial and general aviation airport activity.
