Report: Donaldson Field contributes over $500 million to state economy

A new report by the South Carolina Aeronautics Comissions (SCAC) demonstrates that Donaldson Field – the largest general aviation airport in South Carolina – contributes $522 million to the state’s economy.

It was stated that the 1400 acre general aviation airport also caters to air freight movements; has a maintenance base, flight lessons and other capabilities.

The report notes that the $522 million economic impact derives from employment, payroll and total spending. The airport has an annual payroll of $129.3 million. The airport also spends nearly $400 million a year.
