ProAir Group expand its fleet with a Pilatus PC-12

ProAir Group, based in Stuttgart, is expanding its fleet with a Pilatus PC-12. The ‘state-of-the-art’ turboprop is the first and only aircraft of the type to be operated commercially in Germany.

The Pilatus PC-12 is a single engine, turbine, multipurpose aircraft of Swiss manufacturer Pilatus aircraft. It combines the extremely reliable and efficient Pratt&Whitney PT6 turbine with a spacious and quiet cabin. The high-end LCD cockpit with digital navigation technology and avionics are unique in this class.

Elmar Monreal, managing director of ProAir Group, said: “The Pilatus PC-12 is an ideal addition to our 22 strong fleet and will be a great workhorse for our passenger- and cargo charters in the European region. We are delighted about the positive feedback from the market and the high interest of further aircraft owners. In the first weeks of operation alone, we received requests for two additional PC-12 aircraft which should join the fleet shortly.”

The aircraft has a unique ability to take off and land on short runways, the high cruise speed and the unrivaled flexibility in cabin configuration make it unique. The PC-12 can transport passengers and high-volume cargo or baggage at the same time, changing the cabin from passenger to cargo configuration within minutes, which is a serious advantage when used for time-critical transports for the automotive industry.
