Bombardier has won a design award for the seating collection aboard its latest Global aircraft, presented at the ninth annual International Yacht & Aviation Awards.
The Nuage seat and Nuage chaise, debuted at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE), took the trophy in the Seating Design category during a ceremony held in Venice, Italy, on May 24, 2019.
“Our mission in designing the Nuage collection was to offer unprecedented comfort while delivering the most desirable aesthetic and functional features of luxury seating,” said Peter Likoray, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Bombardier Business Aircraft.

The Nuage chaise is the first business aviation lounge chair to convert into a flat surface – either for sleeping or banquet-style dining around the conference grouping table, according to Bombardier.
The Nuage seat is featured aboard Global 5500, Global 6500 and Global 7500 aircraft, while the Nuage chaise can be found aboard Global 5500 and Global 6500 aircraft.
The International Yacht & Aviation Awards recognize innovative and inspirational aviation and yachting designs from across the globe.
