A tour helicopter on a photo shoot in New York City crashed into the city’s East River earlier this week, killing five passengers on board. The pilot of the air vehicle survived.
Operated by Liberty Helicopters out of nearby New Jersey, a reported engine failure led the helicopter to plunge into the river just after 7pm local time.
Two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene with three later dying in hospital.
