Milano Prime reports traffic growth at both Malpensa and Linate

Milano Prime, the business and general aviation branch of Malpensa and Linate international airports, has registered an overall growth in traffic of 19.4 per cent.

The growth at each respective airport was 16.8 per cent at Linate Prime and 34.8 per cent at Malpensa Prime – both significantly higher than the average increase of European B&GA airports of 2.9 per cent.

The opening of the new Milano Prime terminal at Malpensa last July generated an increase in business and general Aviation flights of 85.5 per cent.

This figure includes approximately 5,300 movements which, during the three-month closure of Linate airport, were re-protected in the new Malpensa GAT.

In 2019, 24,500 B&GA movements were managed at Milano Prime airports, with an average of ca. 70 movements per day, confirming Milano Prime’s fifth place in Europe.

Malpensa Prime also launched a new service in collaboration with the airport authorities, which has enabled over 500 commercial aviation VVIP passengers in five months to utilise the new Milano Prime GAT.

The airport said this allows the passengers to benefit from the facilities and services normally dedicated to business and general aviation passengers.
