Leonardo has reported that helicopter production and deliveries will be increased this year as its rotary operation demonstrates a recovery.
The company revised its guidance ‘upwards’ after receiving further orders for 2018, according to an official report on its website.
Leonardo, stating that its first half results 2018 were in line with expectations, recorded a new order intake of € 4.6 billion and its helicopter division has seen a successful recovery plan.
The company noted it had benefited from a strong market in the US.
Alessandro Profumo, Leonardo CEO, commented: “First half 2018 results are in line with expectations. We are fully focused on executing the Industrial Plan: Helicopters are successfully recovering, DRS is benefitting from US market improvement and we have taken steps forward in cost control.
All of these will ensure long-term sustainable growth to the Group”.
