Kentucky airport seeking funding from city government

A general aviation airport in Kentucky, US is seeking funding from the city’s government for the sum of $10,000.

London-Corbin Airport is looking to raise the money from the city government as it says it has been operating for sixty years with no local funding.

The money will go towards the resurfacing of the runway currently taking place.

It is set to cost $2.5m, $75,000 of which the airport has to contribute.

City Commissioner Trent Knuckles has reportedly asked the London-Corbin Airport Board members to bring up the issue of financing at the airport’s latest audit.
