FBO and jet charter company Jet Aviation has announced the appointment of Grischa Schmidt as its new Senior Director Design Studio, effective immediately.
Based in Basel, Switzerland, the studio includes a team of 16 designers that Schmidt will manage in his new role, where he will be reporting to Dirk Sapatka, General Manager Basel.
“I’m pleased to welcome Grischa into his new role leading the Jet Aviation Design Studio,” said Sapatka.
“The Design Studio is a key part of the comprehensive in-house services that we offer, and Grischa’s wealth of experience in aviation, marine and automotive design will ensure that we continue to provide exceptional interior design solutions for completion and refurbishment customers.”
Prior to joining Jet Aviation, Schmidt worked at various companies including MW Group, Cayros in Switzerland and London and Itten&Brechbuehl, beginning his career in 1995 at Design Works USA in California.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Transportation Design, a diploma in Fine Art, a vocational diploma in Art History and History of Architecture and a Federal Diploma as a Restorer and Carpenter.
The Jet Aviation Design Studio has designed VIP private aircraft interiors for over 40 years, designing and supporting completions and refurbishment concepts.
