Heron Aviation approved for London City Airport with new D-AHRT

Heron Aviation has announced is has acquired the steep approach approval for London City Airport, with their new Falcon 900LX D-AHRT.

Operators must obtain a highly selective special approach procedure approval, because of the surrounding obstructions and terrain, certifying that aircraft and crew are capable to safely operate in and out of London City Airport.

Martin Helbling, accountable manager of Heron Aviation, said: “With this new authorization, Heron Aviation further expands the capabilities of its in-house charter fleet. When our client requested this approach certification, we immediately mobilised the appropriate resources and reached out to our contacts in the authorities, both the UK and Germany, in order to obtain this very important approval.”

With this new approval, the Falcon 900LX D-AHRT is now certified to perform the particularly unique approach which brings passengers just over the skyline of the world-renowned London financial district.
