TRAQPak reveals flight activity increased in December

The year-over-year flight activity review indicates that December 2018 recorded a decrease of 0.5% and TRAQPak analysts estimate there will be a 0.6% increase in overall flight activity in January 2019. 

ARGUS have released the year-over-year flight activity. Results by operational category were mixed with Fractional activity, once again revealing the largest yearly increase of 3.5% year over year. Part 91 activity posted an increase of 1.4% but Part 135 activity which has declined for seven months is now down 4.1%.

The aircraft categories were mostly negative with medium size jets posting the only increase from 2017 which has risen 2.8%. Light jets saw a decrease of 1.6% and large jets saw a 0.5% year over year decrease. Turboprops also decreased 2.8%.

December business flight activity did see an anticipated month over month decrease of 7.7% from November 2018. Results by operational category were down for the month and Part 91 shows the largest monthly decrease of 10.3%. Part 135 flight activity posted a decrease of 5.1% and Fractional flight activity down 4.5% for the month.
