Farnborough Airport: drugs found in jet worth ‘more than £50m’

Cocaine found on-board a private jet at Farnborough Airport was worth ‘more than £50m’ in street value, according to a court report.

The BBC is reporting on the trial, as five men face serious drugs charges after the cocaine was found on the jet at the business aviation airport.

According to the court, 500kg of the Class-A drug were found in various suitcases on the aircraft.

It is said that 513 blocks of the drug were smuggled into the UK from Columbia.

The group of men were caught by Border Officials after they investigated and searched the plane.

The group of men stated that they were members of the music industry and had traveled to the South American country to meet singer Bruno Mars.

The case carries on.
