FAI Aviation name former F1 champion Mika Häkkinen as ambassador

Aircraft services firm FAI Aviation Group has announced former Formula One world champion, Mika Häkkinen, as its first celebrity brand ambassador.

The Finnish born former racing driver, nicknamed the “The Flying Finn”, will promote FAI’s services with a particular focus on the aircraft charter and management side of the business.

“Mika is a natural fit for the FAI brand with his track record of success in Formula One, his passion for excellence and focus on precision and performance,” said Siegfried Axtmann, Founder and Chairman of the FAI Aviation Group.

“With his talent, we are delighted to be partnering with him and I look forward to strengthening the FAI brand together.”

Häkkinen achieved great success in his racing career, winning the Formula One World Championship in 1998 and 1999 as a driver for McLaren, whom Häkkinen rejoined in 2017 as a partner ambassador.

“I have been a great advocate of business aviation for some years – it has enabled me to travel freely and flexibly particularly during my racing career,” said Häkkinen.

“I am proud to be representing FAI. It’s competency as a business jet operator in terms of service excellence, attention to detail and emphasis on safety are impressive. I look forward to helping the brand go from strength to strength.”
