“Aircraft operating in European airspace will need to be equipped for ATN B1 CPDLC,” said Mike Marie, Universal Avionics Central U.S. Regional Sales Manager. “Universal’s UniLink UL-800/801 now has the capability to meet the data link requirements around the world,” he added. “We are excited to provide operators with the opportunity to prepare for the future of our airspace worldwide, including the European ATN B1 CPDLC mandate.”
“I’m very pleased that we’ve been able to add the ATN B1 capability to our AML STC’s for CPDLC,” said Mike Mitera, President of Chicago Jet Group. “This is a very significant accomplishment that is going to provide data link solutions for not only the operators based in Europe, but for the operators here in the U.S. that will be traveling to the EU with their aircraft,” he added. “We will continue to enhance and expand our AML CPDLC STC solutions for Business and Commercial aircraft.”
To help operators meet the requirements for FANS 1/A+ and ATN B1, the AML STC provides choices for Rockwell Collins’ ICS-120A/220A, True North’s TN1007-100, and Latitude’s DL150 as Iridium SatCom solutions.
