EBACE: business aviation industry is indispensable for Europe

In a welcoming, inclusive keynote address, EBAA Chairman, Juergen Wiese, stated that business aviation is not only vital for the economy of Switzerland, it is “indispensable for Europe” too.

The chairman’s notes kicked off EBACE 2018 earlier this week – Europe’s biggest event for business aviation.

Weise noted that on a practical, economic level, the industry provides a great number of jobs in Switzerland and other countries in the continent.

Business aviation also adds 460 point to point connections to and from the Geneva area. Scheduled services and destinations only add 17 destinations in comparison.

NBAA Chairman and President, Ed Bolen echoed the agenda set forth by his colleague. Bolen noted that EBACE aims to send a message about the future. EBACE, according to Bolen, emphasises that business aviation is about “freedom, flexibility and efficiency.”

A busy affair, EBACE has seen 100 new exhibitors this year compared to 2017.

EBACE finishes today (31st May 2018).
