More than 50 aircraft were on display at Geneva Airport for this year’s European Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (EBACE).
A key focus this year, highlighted by industry leaders and politicians alike, was the drive towards sustainability in business aviation. In this spirit, a record number (23) of aircraft flew in powered by sustainable fuel, as highlighted in our gallery.
Other highlights included the record breaking Bombardier Global 7500 itself, the newly triple-certified Embraer Praetor 600, and a historic Junkers F13 from 1919.
2019 marked the first EBACE at which a significant number of aircraft arrived powered by Sustainable Alternative Jet Fuel (SAJF). A Cirrus Vision SF50, one of the 23 aircraft to fly in to Geneva on SAJF. The Embraer Praetor 600, which announced EASA and FAA certification at EBACE. The Embraer Lineage 1000, another of Embraer’s jets which flew in on SAJF. Cabin interior of the Embraer Lineage. Lineage interior from the opposite angle. There was a substantial queue to get a look on board the Bombardier Global 7500. The 7500 recently broke yet another record, with the industry’s first-ever nonstop flight from London City Airport to Los Angeles. It was not only the latest in flight technology on display in Geneva. This Junkers F13 had its maiden flight in 1919 and took pride of place at the display. All of Gulfstream’s aircraft travelled to this year’s EBACE using SAJF, demonstrating the industry’s eagerness now to support sustainable practices. The G650ER, one of several Gulfstream jets on display in Geneva. One member of the EVA team was lucky enough to travel in on this Embraer Phenom 300E, also on SAJF.
