EASA annual review: No serious heavy business jet accidents in 2017

EASA has recently published its annual safety report which has found that there was no accidents involving heavy business jets last year in a positive sign for the industry.

In 2017, business jets of a weight of more than 12,500 pounds did not record a serious accident in Europe.

Over the last decade business jets have also recorded the lowest average number of fatal accidents in the continent.

EASA did, however, note that the happening of no business jet accidents could possible be indicative of an incomplete dataset or lack of reporting than anything more concrete.

The full EASA report can be found and read here.
