Duncan Aviation names new executive vice president for Battle Creek facilities

Duncan Aviation has named Andy Richards (pictured above) as the new executive vice president and chief operating officer of its full-service facility in Battle Creek, Michigan.

As vice president of modifications and completions for the last seven years, Mr Richards, a 22-year veteran of the company, will be stepping into his new role on March 8.

Mr Richards said: “I love working around the folks at Duncan Aviation. The planes are cool, and the things we do to and for those aircraft when they’re here are interesting and exciting. But what gets me up in the morning is our people.

“Duncan Aviation operates at such a high level I feel compelled to maintain the standard of leadership that I’ve come to expect from people I’ve admired and respected over the years. At the same time, by providing mentors, fostering growth through leadership classes, and leading by example, Duncan Aviation has done a fantastic job of preparing me for this role.”

Tom Burt

Duncan Aviation congratulates Tom Burt, executive vice president and chief operating officer at the company’s facility in Battle Creek, as he plans to retire from day-to-day operations in March 2019, when Mr Richard takes over.

Mr Burt said a lot of things have changed in his time with the company, including the aircraft, the services they offer, the added facilities and the team it has developed.

After spending his 40-year career at the company, Mr Burt intends to remain active at Duncan Aviation, teaching leadership and business classes for the foreseeable future.
