Desert Jet appoints new CEO and new chairman of the board

Private aircraft charter company Desert Jet has announced the appointment of Jared Fox as its new CEO, while current CEO and founder Denise Wilson takes up the new role of chairman of the board.

The move, to Desert Jet’s parent company Desert Jet Holdings, is to allow Wilson to focus on acquisition opportunities for the company and pursue other avenues of growth, said the company.

“Now that we are preparing to open the Desert Jet Center terminal, the time is right for me to announce my successor in leading Desert Jet,” said Wilson. “I’m thrilled to have Jared Fox come onboard as Desert Jet’s new CEO.”

Wilson founded Desert Jet in 2007 as an aircraft management company, adding charter operations in 2009 and being recognised in 2013 as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Women Owned companies globally.

Jared Fox is a Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) who has worked in business aviation for over 20 years and flies himself as an instrument rated commercial pilot.

“The Desert Jet team and company culture are like no other in business and private aviation,” said Fox. “I’ve been a big fan for years and jumped at the opportunity to lead the team.

“I look forward to growing the charter, maintenance and FBO businesses into the premier aviation service company on the West Coast”.
