Colorado Airport to decide on new FBO operator

Colorado’s San Luis Valley Regional Airport is to decide on a new FBO operator after a number of companies submitted their proposals to the site.

Mountain View Aeromotive has not held a formal lease for a few years at the airport and it is due to stop operating at San Luis Valley on July 20th.

If an operator has not been chosen by July 20th, the airport will assume operations of the FBO until a new company is found.

Fuel remains an issue at the airport as a replacement fuel farm will be needed. The airport is also expected to put a fuel flowage fee on the next FBO operator.

Mountain View Aeromotive do not have an intention to stay at the airport, citing financial reasons.
