Colibri Aircraft, which specialises in the marketing, resale and purchase of pre-owned private aircraft, has announced that 2017 was a record year for the company.
The London headquartered business which launched in 2011, saw the number of pre-owned aircraft it sold and bought in 2017 double when compared to 2016.
The company predicts the business aviation sector will expand further in 2018 because it expects more private jet owners to sell their aircraft and upgrade to new models that have launched in the past few months, and there is also growing pool of potential buyers as the number of high net worth individuals increases. It also says there is more finance available to help potential buyers.
Oliver Stone, Managing Director, Colibri Aircraft said: “We enjoyed a record year in 2017 and we are hopeful we can beat this in 2018. The business we have done this month is already higher than what we did in January 2017.
“There are a number of factors that have aligned that support further growth in the business aviation sector.”
