Business aviation start-ups to pitch at new event

Revolution.Aero, the global meeting place for people who are reshaping, rethinking and revolutionising business and personal aviation, has launched a competition where up to six new aviation companies can meet major industry people, investors and other market experts who can provide investment, mentoring and introductions.

The competition, which is free to enter, is only open to those aviation companies that believe they have a revolutionary concept, have not raised more than $5 million in funding and have had a product in the market for less than 12 months.

Revolution.Aero has its inaugural meeting in San Francisco on 1st  – 2nd October 2018. Some 200+ aviation professionals will be attending, including more than 50 founders or chief executive/C suite level.

There are also more than 20 professional investors and investment firms attending.

Judges of the pitch competition include Jet Blue Technology Ventures and Toyota AI Ventures.

Alasdair Whyte, co-founder, Revolution Aero said: “The aviation sector is going through an unprecedented change – a real renaissance – that will revolutionise air travel and the whole experience of flying.

The sector has seen a proliferation of start-ups with an array of exciting concepts and ideas – and lots of investors – but many of these still need more investment to really get off the ground.

“Our competition is an opportunity for these businesses to pitch to some of the biggest names and investors in the aviation sector to potentially receive the investment, contacts and mentoring they need to bring their concepts to life and revolutionise aviation.”

To enter, participants should nominate their company by sending an email to  aw@corporatejetinvestor.com.
