Business aviation contributes €666m to Irish economy, according to report

According to a report by an Irish news publication, the business aviation industry contributes a whopping €666 to the Irish economy.

In 2017, the report states that business aviation’s output amounted to a figure of well over half a billion Euros.

The article by The Avondhu states that business aviation is directly linked to 2,000 direct and indirect jobs in the nation with business aviation departures up nearly 7.5% last year.

The report notes that at the recent EBACE conference and exhibition in Geneva, EBAA Chairman Juergen Wiese said: “Ireland is the 17th biggest operator of business aviation in Europe and there is an overall tendency for growth in the country.

When you look at the economic impact of BizAv, some 2,000 direct and indirect jobs have been created by the sector and it generates €666 million for the Irish economy annually.

Clearly, BizAv is crucial to Ireland’s economy, its people and connecting the country with Europe and the rest of the world.”
