Bombardier files lawsuit alleging former employees ‘stole secrets’

Source: Fortune.

Bombardier has filed a lawsuit in a Seattle court that alleges former employees took trade secrets and knowledge when leaving the company and passed it to Mitsubishi to help with a regional jet project at the Japan-based manufacturer.

The aircraft manufacturer based in Montreal filed the lawsuit in a federal court in Seattle in the US state of Washington late last week.

Those on the receiving end of the lawsuit as well as the jet division of Mitsubishi include Aerospace Testing Engineering and Certification and a number of former Bombardier employees.

As detailed in the court document, Bombardier is claiming that employees recruited by Mitsubishi brought over confidential documents and data that discusses certification of aircraft in North America.

The Japanese company has stated that the claims are ‘groundless’ and seemingly untrue.
