Bombardier delivers first of three Global 6000 jets to German Luftwaffe

Bombardier has delivered the first of three Global 6000 business jets to be used by the German Luftwaffe, a longtime Bombardier aircraft operator.

The other two Global 6000 aircraft will be delivered by the end of 2019, for use by the German air force to fulfil political and parliamentary transport requirements.

“Bombardier is incredibly pleased that the Luftwaffe will add the Global 6000 aircraft to its fleet,” said David Coleal, President, Bombardier Aviation.

“Our specialised aircraft team has built longstanding relationships with governments around the world who trust in the safety and performance of our products.”

Bombardier’s specialised aircraft division delivers custom solutions to operators, and the diverse portfolio of aircraft are often tasked with flying demanding and critical missions in various configurations.

The delivery of the three aircraft will cement Bombardier’s deep ties with Germany, where the company is the leading provider of business jets, and where it also bases its rail industry division, Bombardier Transportation, in Berlin,
