Bell Textron signs sustainable fuel deal

It means that from today (March 25) the fuel, which is cleaner and has less of an environmental impact, will be used for the 20 aircraft in the demonstration and training fleet.

Bell Textron executive vice president, technology and commercial business Michael Thacker said:

“Bell is an active supporter of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association’s sustainable fuel initiative, and we are committed to seeking more eco-friendly solutions for rotorcraft.

“As the industry moves toward a greener future, Bell’s decision to introduce SAF in our training and demonstration aircraft is a reflection of our dedication to this shared goal and to providing clean alternatives for the environment.”

The introduction of the greener fuels is one of a number of initiatives the company is considering as it targets halving its CO2 emissions by 2050.
