AVIAA adds FBO Global Trek Aviation to supplier network

Global group purchasing organization (GPO) for business aviation AVIAA has announced that fixed-base operator (FBO) Global Trek Aviation will be joining its supplier network.

The privately owned, Scotland-based FBO recently opened jet handling facilities on the south side of Cardiff Airport, adding to an award-winning facility at Belfast International Airport, now in its fifth year of operation.

“We heard about the great work AVIAA has been contributing to the industry over the past 18 months of its existence, helping its member operators to significantly lower their costs,” said Colin Gordon, Global Trek Aviation’s Commercial Director.

“After a very positive meeting with Sarah Holian, initially in the UK and then with AVIAA MD Irena Deville, we couldn’t wait to sign up and give something back to the industry.”

Global Trek Aviation’s services include an in-house Jet A1 fuel service, integrated security, flight operations and pet importation.

Headquartered in California, but with a worldwide presence, AVIAA was set up in 2017 to streamline procurement for both operators and vendors, doing so using proprietary algorithms and industry expertise.

“We are delighted to welcome Global Trek Aviation, an important UK regional airport FBO supplier,” said Irena Deville.

“We are committed to offering a diverse and wide-range of FBOs for our members and the high quality and variety of services Global Trek offers makes their two FBOs excellent additions to our growing international FBO network.”
