Avfuel announces it’s bringing back the most popular promotion of NBAA’s Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference—Fuel Your Style: The Designer Collection—with a twist to better connect flight departments with the Avfuel Network of Independent FBOs at the 2018 show in Long Beach, California.
This year, each participant will be able to shop for a complete outfit. Every participant will receive a checklist card with the same amount and kind of items for which to shop: a top, bottom, necklace, scarf, bag and bracelet. With 68 co-exhibitors* in the Avfuel Aisles, attendees will have a plethora of options from each category from which to choose, selecting quality fashion items and fueling locations.
“We’re excited about this year’s spin on the promotion,” said Marci Ammerman, Avfuel’s vice president of marketing. “We always get such positive feedback about Fuel Your Style, but we’re always looking to do something fresh and exciting. We thought allowing each participant to put together a whole outfit would be a fun way to thank attendees for ‘shopping’ the Avfuel Network and would equally be a great opportunity for our branded locations to visit with more customers and prospects, educating them on the unique, top-rated locations in the Avfuel Network.”
The Fuel Your Style promotion has been an attendee- and exhibitor-favorite since its premier in 2012.
“It’s one of the best ways we could think of to really gratify attendees while encouraging them to visit—or shop—our network of co-exhibitors,” said Ammerman. “It’s amazing to think how much our show presence has grown, and this promotion lends well to that growth.”
Indeed, the exhibitor floor once looked vastly different.
“When we first began exhibiting, Avfuel FBOs were placed at random throughout the show floor,” said Ammerman. “Then we had the thought of bringing some of our customers closer to us and integrating them into our promotion as one unified presence. That first year we started with about 30 customers and before we knew it, we were filling up an entire row. Now, we stretch across multiple rows. It’s astounding.”
Not long after Avfuel started implementing its new show strategy with co-exhibiting FBOs, the other major fuel suppliers followed suit, making the NBAA SDC show floor what it really is today.
“We always like to be at the forefront of ideas and innovation, and it’s awe-inspiring to see how this show has grown over the years,” said Ammerman. “It’s truly created a meaningful business experience for exhibitors and attendees alike.”

Network with representatives from each FBO and Avfuel’s staff to discuss the comprehensive business-lines of Avfuel, including marketing, commercial fuel, contract fuel, Avplan Trip Support, Avsurance and fuel supply.
