AsBAA hosts government and stakeholders for inaugural Safety Day

AsBAA, Asia’s non-profit representative body for the business and general aviation industry (BA/GA) today announced the attendance of government officials to its upcoming AsBAA Malaysia Safety Day on 18 March 2020.

AsBAA Chairman, Mr Zhendong Wu said, “AsBAA’s Malaysia Chapter exists to advocate for and represent the local community. With 41 major airports, a 15.5 million strong workforce, 4.3% GDP growth, and a thriving business aviation sector, there is clear opportunity in Malaysia. The association’s local chapter, led by Board of Governors member, Emil Pope, advocates on behalf of the industry, ensuring that its needs are understood. The AsBAA Safety Days build a platform for authorities and members of the BA/GA industry to meet for information sharing, reporting, and networking.”

AsBAA operates its Malaysia Chapter to offer support to companies operating in or interested in growing their business in the region. Following a series of well-attended chapter meetings over the past three years, the association will hold its inaugural Safety Day on 18 March, in partnership with Invest Selangor, and sponsored by Dassault Aviation and World Fuel Services and sixteen AsBAA member companies.

Agenda highlights also include Regulatory Safety Perspectives from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia, the Grey Charter Threat, and Infrastructure and Policy reports by Government VIPs.
