ARGUS has released its midyear business aviation review as it looks back on the first half of the industry in 2018 in the US.
Half-way through the year and ARGUS note that “flight activity has soared to new highs with 5 of the 6 months recording a year over year gain from 2017.”
Flight activity was up by 2.3% in the first half of 2018, compared to the same period in 2017, according to the report. Flight hours were also up by 2.6% during the same period.
The ARGUS report also released the top 35 operators over the course of the year and found Gama Aviation came out on top with the most flown hours at 72,885.
Departures by state also demonstrates that Florida is the region with the most flight departures in the industry with 150,838, followed by California with 143,682 and Texas with 138,713.
Conclusively, ARGUS states that this growth over 2018 will continue into the second half of the year. The full report can be read here.
