ANAC awards type certification to Embraer for Praetor 500

The National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC) presented Embraer with the type certificate for their Praetor 500 during a short ceremony at the Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE).

The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, celebrating their golden jubilee this month, exhibited both the Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 business jets at this year’s LABACE.

The CEO and president of Embraer Executive Jets, Michael Amalfitano, said that the ANAC approval was “a welcome achievement for the celebration of our golden jubilee.”

Embraer has a significant presence in the Brazilian market, according to the OEM, with half of all business jets delivered in Brazil made by the company, and Embraer executive jets taking flight once every 20 minutes in the country.

The Praetor 500 is a midsize jet and can seat up to nine passengers, with a range of over 6,000 kilometres, making it capable of a flight from São Paulo to Europe or North America.
