STC received for digital clock and USB point in Falcon 50 Aircraft

West Star Aviation has received an STC from USA Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the installation of their Mid-Continent MD93 series digital clock and USB charger for the Falcon 50 Aircraft.

The clock unit is a compact two-inches that fits standard panel cutout, providing both 12 and 24-hour formats of local time, universal time and flight timer with additional countdown and stopwatch functions.

Marty Rhine, Vice President of Sales at West Star Aviation, said: “The MD93 delivers accurate time keeping functions as well as USB charging ports for both standard and high-power devices that are common today.”

The unique 2-in-1 solution saves panel space by combining a multi-function digital clock with dual USB charging ports.

Mr Rhine said: “While seemingly simple, these units are functional, reliable and provide true value and utility to the operator. So much so, we anticipate moving into DER approvals for other aircraft soon.”

West Star Aviation specializes in the repair and maintenance of airframes, windows, and engines, as well as major modifications, avionics installation and repair, interior refurbishment and more.

Voted No1 preferred MRO for five consecutive years in Professional Pilot Magazine’s annual ‘Preferences Regarding Aviation Services and Equipment’ (PRASE) survey.
