New York-based fractional operator, Jet It, set up by Glenn Gonzales and Vishal Hiremath, the former Honda Aircraft Company pair, have accepted delivery of its first HondaJet Elite.
According to Corporate Jet Investor, back in September 2018, Gonzales said Jet It was planning on adding between eight to 16 aircraft over the next 12 months. The company said recently that its owners would operate the aircraft at a cost of $1,600 per hour.
Mr Hiremath, Jet It founder and president, said they are incredibly excited to be taking delivery of the first jet after only four months of launch and sales activity. It speaks to the excitement in the market for our company and the need for a service that speaks to the value proposition offered by Jet It.
Clients can buy a percentage share in an aircraft, like a traditional fractional ownership program, but with Jet It owners get guaranteed number of days using the aircraft, with higher percentage shares promising higher number of days usage.
The idea behind Jet It came to Gonzales and Hiremath after seeing the capabilities of the HondaJet.
