CTT Systems' Cair comfort on Lufthansa's A380s

For the first time, CTT Systems' Cair system has been installed, by an aircraft manufacturer, in the first class cabin of Lufthansa’s new A380 aircraft.
Lufthansa will offer a higher first class cabin humidity, of around 25 per cent relative humidity, which will increase the comfort and well being of the passengers. It will improve sleep, reduce jetlag, reduce tiredness and alleviate dehydration of the eyes, skin and linings of the mouth and nose.
The Cair system is based on e evaporative cooling technology. The dual-purpose system increases cabin humidity to 20-25 per cent relative humidity, compared with 5-10 per cent otherwise in a first class environment, due to the fewer number of passengers in the premium sections.
CTT’s Zonal Drying System has been selected as basic equipment for the B787 “Dreamliner” and CTT’s humidifiers are options. CTT will also supply the Zonal Drying system and the Cair system for the A350 as options.
