Back to the Future for London Biggin Hill Airport as doors open for third Futures Week

London Biggin Hill Airport is today kicking off its third bi-annual Futures Week, a programme designed to inspire and encourage young people interested in pursuing a career in the aviation industry.

Futures Week is part of the airport’s ‘Unite to Inspire’ programme, providing 14 young people, aged between 14 and 18 years old, the opportunity to experience the many roles available in aviation.

During the week-long event, students will experience a behind-the-scenes view of airport operations, and various career paths through a variety of hands-on activities and immersive visits.

They will also be able to meet with industry professionals from across the airport and its community of over 70 resident businesses to learn more about pursuing a career in the aerospace industry.

Hannah Gray, STEM Ambassador at London Biggin Hill Airport, says: “We are looking forward to once again welcoming aspirational young adults to the airport for London Biggin Hill Airport’s Futures Week.

“As a leading centre for aviation technology and enterprise and a major employer in the local community, we are proud to introduce the next generation of aviation professionals to the many different career opportunities available here at the airport and the wider aviation industry.”
