This includes and not limited to the functions of EASA Part M and competence in reliability control and Maintenance programme development.
Experience and Qualifications
• Engineering degree or similar industry qualification.
• Detailed understanding of the Continuous Airworthiness requirements of EASA Pt M and the airworthiness regulatory framework.
• Proven background in Aerospace Engineering or Maintenance experience, preferably in a technical services environment.
• Thorough working knowledge of the AMP programme management as required by EASA Pt ‘M’.
• Have a detailed understanding of and be able to interpret Aircraft Maintenance Data.
• Able to relate competently at a professional level with the internal customers, suppliers, OEM, regulators.
• Good understanding of the principles of aircraft reliability management as required by EASA Pt ‘M’.
• Good knowledge of airworthiness regulations such CAA, EASA, DGAC, FOCA, FAA.
• Good Aircraft systems and product knowledge.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Competent in the use of general database and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively and productively as part of a multi- disciplined team.
• Motivated and committed to Continuous Improvement.
• Flexible in approach and adaptable to change.
• Willing to travel between the UK easyJet bases as required.
• Assume responsibility for, and provide a structured approach to the resolution of technical issues.
• Provide trouble-shooting assistance to maintenance or external workshop for Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG), Out-of-Service (OOS) events or for specific requests.
• To develop procedures / work instructions to support troubleshooting activities or to resolve long term reliability issues.
• Assume responsibility for, and provide comprehensive assessment of all Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Vendor Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Modification leaflets, and all other technical documentation applicable to easyJet aircraft.
• Produce Engineering Orders or work instructions to accomplish the recommended course of action for the technical documents assessed by the team.
• To interface with and / or provide assistance to any relevant department for modification programmes or for specific requests.
• Provide assistance to other departments so as to ensure that the easyJet fleet remain in compliance with all Airworthiness Directives and Regulatory Authority requirements.
• Provide repetitive and recurrent defect analysis to support the company’s Reliability and Maintainability programmes.
• Assume responsibility for, and ensure that all Occurrence and Audit reports are addressed in a timely manner.
• Establish and develop working relationships with aircraft, system and equipment manufacturers to ensure continued airworthiness and to improve aircraft availability and system reliability.
• Develop and enhance processes and procedures to ensure and improve customer aircraft availability, system reliability and AMP Development.
• Maintain the Weight and Balance control, control and manage additional resulting from modifications, repairs.
• Liaising with the regulator as and when required
• Liaising with the OEM, easyJet departments, Vendors, MRO’s
• To represent easyJet at OEM and industry meetings to support the Technical Services Functions
• Closure of AQD occurrence reports and audit findings.
• Compliance with Health and Safety requirements
• Carrying out other work that may be reasonably required and is within current competency as requested by the Engineering Manager.
